Miguel DaPonte, CFA

Senior Vice President Investment Management

Mr. Da Ponte is a CFA charter holder and obtained an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Prior to joining Clarien, Miguel was SVP Investments and Pensions at BF&M Group. He was responsible for the asset allocation and manager selection of the balance sheet assets of the firm and headed the company’s defined contribution pension business. Prior to BF&M he was Assistant Vice President at Scottish Re Group Ltd. where he monitored and advised on investment portfolios totalling over $12 billion. The formative years of his career were spent at Bermuda Investment Advisory Service as a Senior Investment Analyst where he managed global equities and fixed income portfolios.

Qing “Judy” Lutkin, CFA

Vice President and Head of Investment Strategy

Judy is focused on development and execution of investment strategies for private client portfolios and institutional investors. Prior to joining Clarien, Judy was Portfolio Manager for PRP Performa Ltd., where she provided customised investment solutions for captive insurance companies and institutional investors.

Previously, Judy was a Manager of Market Strategy at Saint-Gobain China, a subsidiary of the French Fortune 500 company. She earned an MBA in international business from the University of Birmingham, UK and a BSc in economics from Hubei University, China. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Alistair Melvin, CFA

Senior Investment Analyst

Alistair is a member of Clarien’s Investment Management Group. He supports the investment managers in all aspects of portfolio management. Alistair conducts research and monitors equity and fixed income positions and contributes to third-party manager selection. He supports senior team members, participates in group sales efforts and develops client communications.

Prior to joining CIL, Alistair was an Investment Coordinator at BIAS Ltd., an offshore fund management company in Cayman. Previously, he was a Derivatives Analyst with RBC in Toronto.

Dajon Richardson

Associate Investment Analyst

Dajon joined Clarien’s Investment Management Group in July 2020. He reports to the Head of Investment Strategy and supports all aspects of portfolio management. Dajon contributes to research and monitoring of equity and fixed income positions, as well as third-party manager selection. He supports senior team members and participates in group sales efforts with presentations and development of client communications.

Prior to joining CIL, Dajon was a Junior Analyst Trainee at Wafra Financial & Management Services in Bermuda.
