Chief Wealth Management Officer


Bruce Jackson, CFA

Bruce Jackson joined Clarien Bank in June 2019 in the role of Chief Wealth Management Officer, responsible for Private Banking, Trust and Clarien Investment Management. He holds an Honors Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario (HBA). He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Bruce began his 33-year-career as an Equity Analyst, and has always viewed research as a core competency. After fifteen years as an institutional investment banker, he formed an investment management firm to create discretionary energy portfolios for Global Family Office, high net worth, mutual fund and institutional clients. Throughout his career, Bruce has advised pension, union, First Nation, corporate, government and not-for-profit clients, and led a global Fintech company in the asset management industry.

Rob Steinhoff, SVP, Head of Investment Strategy

Rob joined Clarien’s Investment Management Group in June 2014 and is the Head of Investment Strategy. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of the investment process supporting Clarien’s asset management and institutional investment businesses. Rob works closely with outside investment committees of insurance companies, foundations and family offices to determine and manage optimal portfolios to balance investment return and risk to achieve desired client outcomes.

Previously, Rob was the Investment Officer and Treasurer for the Attorneys’ Liability Assurance Society (ALAS Ltd), a mutual insurance company. Rob was a member of the ALAS Senior Management team and reported to the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors. Prior to ALAS Ltd., Rob was part of a team managing a Bermuda-based Swiss family office where he structured and conducted investment analysis on a global multi-billion dollar portfolio across a number of asset classes including direct investments in listed and private companies.

Rob started his career with Scotiabank in Toronto in Corporate Finance and earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2003. Rob holds a BA (Joint Honours) in Economics and Political Science from McGill University and a Masters in Finance from the University of Sydney (Australia). Rob is a regular expert panelist at captive conferences on investing for captives.

Rob is currently Chairman of the Bermuda Zoological Society Investment Committee responsible for the aquarium’s Endowment portfolio.

Jennifer Hanson, SVP, Head of Trust and Family Office

Jennifer joined Clarien in October 2020, as Senior Vice President, Head of Trust and Family office. As Head of Trust and Family Office, Jennifer plays an integral role in the strategic development of Clarien Wealth Management with a focus on ultra-high net worth and Family Office clients under the direction of the Chief Wealth Management Officer.

Prior to joining Clarien, Jennifer was Chief Financial and Administration Officer for a Private Company in Bermuda. Previously, she held the post of Senior Manager at Arthur Morris and Company Limited specializing in providing accounting, fiduciary, compliance and corporate services to a broad range of clients, including trusts and investment companies. Jennifer moved from Canada to Bermuda in 1998 with Deloitte progressing to the position of Senior Manager and taking a lead role on many of the offices trust, corporate and accounting services clients.

Jennifer has been involved in Bermuda’s trust industry for over 20 years. In all her prior roles, Jennifer has worked closely with ultra-high net worth clients and their financial, tax and legal advisors as well as with bankers and investment advisors.

Jennifer is a Chartered Professional Accountant from Canada (CPA, CA) along with a Trust Estate Practitioner (TEP). She holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting with Great Distinction from University of Saskatchewan in Canada. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors.

Susan Monkman, CFA, VP and Investment Manager

Susan is Vice President and Investment Manager of Clarien Investments Ltd. In addition to her expertise in traditional fixed income and equity investment securities, she excels in the research and review of private equity and alternative investments for ultra-high-net-worth portfolios. She is the lead manager of the Global Voyager Preferred Equity Class and co-manager of Global Voyager Managed Balance Class portfolios.

She holds a BBA in accounting from the University of Georgia and received her CFA Charter in 1993. She is past president of the Bermuda Society of Financial Analysts and a member of the Bermuda Stock Exchange listing committee.

Qing “Judy” Lutkin, CFA, VP and Investment Manager

Judy is focused on development and execution of investment strategies for private client portfolios and institutional investors. Prior to joining Clarien, Judy was Portfolio Manager for PRP Performa Ltd., where she provided customised investment solutions for captive insurance companies and institutional investors.

Previously, Judy was a Manager of Market Strategy at Saint-Gobain China, a subsidiary of the French Fortune 500 company. She earned an MBA in international business from the University of Birmingham, UK and a BSc in economics from Hubei University, China. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Cyril Simmons, AVP, Senior Private Banker

Cyril Simmons brings close to 20 years of specialised expertise to Clarien Private Wealth, including a broad range of senior banking roles in Global Asset and Investment Management. He began his career with Bank of Bermuda (now HSBC) in 1999 and worked in various divisions within the bank including Credit Risk Management and Investor Relations. He spent six years within the Business Development team at HSBC Global Asset Management, where he supported the Corporate Banking division with institutional sales of global investment solutions. He joined the Corporate Banking division in 2010 and eventually became the Head of the Captive and Insurance Banking team. In 2015, he joined Clarien’s Private Wealth division as a Senior Private Banker. Cyril holds a BA (Hons) in philosophy from Morehouse College, Atlanta.

Nancy Stevens, AVP, Senior Private Banker

Born and raised in Bermuda, Nancy Stevens holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mount Alison University, Canada. She joined Clarien after working in a relationship management role with a local private bank.  Meeting the requirements of a discerning universe of high net worth individuals, private trusts and companies, Nancy offers a solid academic breadth to the team and a dedication to the delivery of stellar client service. She passed her Series 7 designation and STEP Foundation in 2009 and CAMS in 2017, and is presently pursuing the CFP designation.

Andrew Rayner, AVP, Senior Private Banker

With over 20 years working as both a domestic and international banker, Andrew joins Clarien Bank with a reputation that precedes him.

Having spent much time fine-tuning his skillset, Andrew’s expertise and experience include time spent in Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, and Retail Banking.  Having worked in the Bermuda banking industry for over 10 years, Andrew expanded his experience internationally as he made his way to Canada in 2014 to take on cash management sales for the Bank of Montreal.  During his 7-year tenure in Canada, Andrew engaged in cross-border banking, selling to U.S. Fortune 500 companies, and has had the pleasure of leading a team of sales professionals as Managing Director & Regional Team Leader for Ontario and Atlantic Canada (Diversified Markets and national mandates within the Public and Cannabis sectors).

Over his long career, Andrew has been recognized by several reputable organizations for his achievements in strategic planning, business development, relationship building.

Mark Darko joined Clarien Bank with London-based experience, primarily in Asset Management. He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business Management from Westminster University, UK. Following a 10-year career in banking, Mark relocated to Bermuda with his family, working within the Risk Solutions sector at the Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA). His focus was specifically on captive insurance, healthcare, cyber and the ILS market. He was also the committee secretary for the Bermuda Captive Conference from 2016-2017.
