Mr. Truran is a founding member of Clarien Group Limited and was appointed sole Chief Executive Officer on December 9, 2014. Prior to the amalgamation he held the position of President and CEO of Capital G Bank since May 2010. Mr. Truran has worked in the banking industry for 21 years, 16 years of which in senior management roles. Joining Capital G Bank in 2001 as Senior Vice President, Head of Credit Risk Management, Mr. Truran was subsequently promoted to Executive Vice President with oversight of Branch Banking, Private Banking, Personal Lending, Business Banking, Credit Risk Management and Compliance. Before joining Capital G, Mr. Truran held senior positions with the Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited within the Credit Risk Management function until 2001, finally as Senior Vice President of Private Banking. Mr. Truran served as Executive Member of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce from 2006 until 2010 and is Vice President of the Bermuda Equestrian Federation, a position he has held since 2005. Mr. Truran was appointed to the Board of Education in September 2013 and is a current director and the Treasurer of the International Charitable Foundation of Bermuda. Mr. Truran graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University in 1992 and obtained a Diploma of Graduation from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and Wharton Leadership Certificate from The Wharton School, both in June 2013.
