Effective November 2026, all international wires must include a structured or hybrid postal address for the Beneficiary; Address line, Town/City/Parish, Country and Postal Code / Zip Code where applicable.
Address details should not be repeated within the address fields, and no additional payment information should be included in the remarks field, this should go in the remittance field instead.
An example of how new postal address should appear is below:
- Beneficiary Name – John Doe
- Address Line – 123 Clarien Street Unit 3
- Town/City/Parish – Hamilton Parish
- Country – Bermuda
- Postal Code / Zip Code – CR 02
This is a global SWIFT ISO 20022 standard that must be adhered to for all international wires across all banks, not a change specific to Clarien. Wire payments with an incomplete or unstructured address may be delayed or rejected.
