Gregory Slayton

Gregory Slayton is a venture capitalist, diplomat, educator and author with a global career spanning finance, public service and philanthropy. 

He is the Managing Director of an American private venture capital firm with operations across Asia and serves on the boards of several for-profit and non-profit organisations. From 2005 to 2009, Gregory served as the United States Chief of Mission to Bermuda. 

His earlier career includes senior leadership roles in the technology sector, including as CEO, CFO and co-founder of several companies, following initial experience at an international management consultancy. He is also a Distinguished Visiting Professor in Beijing and a guest lecturer at leading U.S. business schools. Gregory is the author of Be a Better Father Today and chairs two family-focused charitable foundations. 

He holds a BA in Economics and a Master’s in Asian Studies from Dartmouth College, as well as an MBA (Honours) from Harvard Business School.
