Minish Parikh – Chief Operating Officer

Minish joined Clarien Bank in January 2017, and has more than 30 years’ experience of handling business operations and technology functions in multi-national organisations. As Chief Operating Officer, Minish is responsible for planning, organising, and controlling all the day-to-day operational activities of the Bank under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer. He also provides advice, support and services to the wider Clarien Group.

Prior to joining Clarien, Minish served in several key roles for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), appointments in Canada and Barbados from 2007 to 2015. Most recently he was Executive Consultant, Operations and Technology for CIBC, where he worked on several high-profile projects to address and solve issues hindering business operations.

From 2011 to 2013 he was Chief Administration Officer for CIBC First Caribbean Bank in Barbados, having previously served more than four years as Executive Director, Operations for the bank. Before joining CIBC, he was the Chief Operating Officer for National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd. in Kingston, Jamaica, having joined the bank as General Manager, Network Operations.

He also served as Executive Manager, National Bank of Oman and began his career with the State Bank of India, Ahmedabad, India, where he rose to Deputy Manager. He holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India. He is a Certified Associate, Banking, of the Indian Institute of Bankers and an Alumni of the London Business School, U.K.
