James Gibbons - Director
James Gibbons is a senior Bermudian executive and board director with decades of experience across the financial services, insurance and infrastructure sectors.
He is Treasurer of a long-standing family-owned holding company, Chairman of Clarien Bank, and serves as a Director of Harbour Trust and other Bermuda-based businesses. He previously led several group companies in executive roles, including President and CEO of a Bermuda-based financial institution and Managing Director of a regulated deposit-taking company.
James also brings extensive governance and civic experience. He has served as an Independent Director of a global reinsurance group, and as a member of Bermuda’s Council of Economic Advisors, the Waterfront Task Force, and the Public Funds Investment Committee. He also supports various local initiatives and currently serves on the advisory boards of several youth and environmental organisations.
He holds a BSBA in Finance from Georgetown University and was educated at Harrow School in England.
