Head of Treasury

Roger was appointed Head of Treasury of Clarien Bank Limited in October 2016, having joined the Bank (then Capital G Bank) in 2013 as Assistant Treasurer. His extensive industry experience covers a wide range of roles involved with many differing aspects of banking, including treasury, trading, risk management and operations.

Prior to becoming part of the Clarien team, Roger has gained extensive Treasury experience, both in London and the Middle East, including the role of Head of the Fund Management desk with Saudi French Bank in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he was responsible for the management of the bank’s funds out to 2 years and with HSBC in Dubai where he was the senior Off Balance sheet interest rate trader for the bank. In London he has worked at Goldman Sachs London helping to manage the day to day short term liquidity requirements of their European and Emerging market operations, and with Credit Suisse First Boston as a senior dealer on their Treasury desk.

He has also worked at Royal Bank of Scotland in London where he formed part of the risk management and control team, with specific responsibility for the Interest Rate risk aspects of the Prime Brokerage area. He earned a B. Comm. degree in Accountancy/Finance Law from Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia.
