iBank Commercial Quick Start Guide
Welcome to Clarien Bank! This guide is designed to help you set up access to Bermuda’s most transformative banking platform – the NEW Clarien iBank system. From enhanced features and functions to seamless transfer capabilities, we are confident that you will enjoy the ease and innovation of your new online banking platform.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- You must first have an established Clarien Bank account to access the iBank system.
- Locate your customer information provided in your Clarien Welcome email.
- If you are registering a hard token, please have your device available.
- If you are registering a soft token, please download the Clarien iSecure app from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store.
- Clarien iSecure is your soft token and multi factor authenticator (MFA), which is required to securely access your online account.
- You will need to access both the Clarien iBank registration on your desk or laptop and your hard token or Clarien iSecure app at the same time in order to get set up.
Let's get started
- Begin by selecting the MFA Registration Link at the bottom of the Clarien Online Banking screen.
- Enter your User ID, which is provided in your Clarien Welcome email.
- Select Continue.
- A One Time Password, or OTP, will be sent to the mobile device, email or corporate email registered with Clarien.
- Enter your OTP, then select Continue.
- You will now select whether you are using a Hard or Soft Token.
TO REGISTER YOUR HARD TOKEN
- Please select Hard Token, which is also called a security key.
- Then Continue.
- A security key prompt will then display, confirming that you are setting up your new hard token. This will only occur once, during setup.
- Select OK on the prompt, then Continue on the registration screen.
- A second prompt will then display. Insert your hard token device into a USB port on your laptop or desktop.
Please note: access to a USB drive on your company desktop or laptop is required for token set up. Please speak with your IT department for USB drive assistance.
- Create, enter and confirm a security PIN. You may create any PIN you choose, which may include numbers and letter, up to 8 characters.This is a one-time step required during the set-up process only. (Insert Security PIN screen)
- Touch your security key, or hard token, on the edge of the device with the tip of your finger. (Insert Token touch screen)
- Your passkey is now saved and you may now use your hard token to login to Clarien iBank.
- Select OK, then Continue.
Congratulations! You have now successfully registered your hard token. You may now return to Clarien iBank to log in.
- Download the Clarien iSecure app.
- Open the app and review the Privacy Policy. If you accept, tick the box, then submit.
- Choose whether to allow Clarien iSecure to send you notifications. By selecting Allow, you are able to review verification requests more easily. (Insert iSecure Allow screen)
- Then proceed to the Enroll screen. To register the app, select allow when prompted so that the app can take pictures and record video. This is needed for QR code functionality.
- When the iSecure enroll screen appears, return to the Clarien iBank login screen on your desk or laptop.
- Select Clarien iSecure (MFA) registration.
- Enter your Username, which is provided in your Clarien Welcome email, then Continue.
- Enter your Customer ID, which is also provided in your Clarien Welcome email.
- Select Continue.
- A One Time Password, or OTP, will be emailed to the mobile device or email registered with Clarien.
- Enter your OTP, then select Continue.
- Select Clarien iSecure as your token type, then Continue.
- An enrollment QR code will now display on the screen.
- Return to your Clarien iSecure app and click on the Enroll button.
- iSecure will open the camera on your device. Please hold your device in front of the Clarien iBank QR code to scan it.
- Once detected, your device will scan the QR code automatically.
- Select OK to confirm your Notifications Settings. You may choose to go into your device setting later to make any changes. The iSecure app will then retrieve the registration request from your iBank account.
- Set up your authentication method by selecting whether to use biometric authentication or create a PIN. If biometric, the iSecure app will use the facial ID or fingerprint information already set up on your device.
- If you choose PIN, you’ll set up a 4 digit PIN on the next screen. Then, re-enter your PIN to confirm. Select OK.
- The iSecure app will then validate your PIN.
- Once validated, click on the Check Pending Request button.
Congratulations! You have now successfully registered your Clarien iSecure authenticator app. You may now return to Clarien iBank to log in.
