Listening. Helping. Building.

Clarien Bank, a leading financial institution committed to making a positive impact in the Bermuda community, is proud to announce its corporate giving initiatives for the year 2024. The bank has pledged significant contributions, totaling more than $130,000, to 12 charitable organisations or non-profits, reflecting its ongoing dedication and commitment to causes that support youth, education, seniors and other important community initiatives in areas such as health.

Michael DeCouto, EVP, Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, said: “For decades now, Clarien’s corporate giving programme has focused on supporting organisations that address critical social issues, promote education, foster economic empowerment, and enhance the overall well-being of individuals and families on the Island. We typically choose to support up to ten charities each year, but given the increased need for giving, we have selected additional causes that align with our priorities for 2024.”

“As a responsible corporate citizen, we believe it is our duty to contribute to the betterment of our Island home,” Mr DeCouto continued. “Through our corporate giving initiatives, we aim to create a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those most vulnerable, underrepresented or in need in our community. We are therefore proud to support these incredible organisations and the important work they do year in and year out.”

Throughout 2024, Clarien will provide financial support to a wide range of charities and non-profit organisations. These include but are not limited to:

Ignite Bermuda: The Bank will continue to support Ignite with a $25,000 donation in 2024 to support the non-profit’s efforts in helping local innovators grow and scale their businesses.

Reading Clinic: Clarien will partner with The Reading Clinic by giving $25,000 to support the charity’s I-PLAY programme, aimed at improving the emerging literacy skills of preschool children.

PALS: The Bank’s contributions will also aid PALS’ work in providing cancer patients with quality care primarily in the home setting in order to enhance quality of life, with a donation of $15,000.

Tomorrow’s Voices: Clarien will support Tomorrow’s Voices with a $10,000 donation to support the charity’s internationally renowned clinical centre, which provides a range of behavioral and therapeutic treatments and services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders, as well as their families.

The Bank’s commitment to corporate giving extends beyond financial contributions, as Clarien actively encourages employees to volunteer their time and skills to making a difference in the community throughout the year. Clarien remains dedicated to its core values of integrity, teamwork and being client focused; and by investing in these charitable initiatives, the organisation seeks to create a brighter future for all Bermuda’s people.
